Any Custom part was manually machined or modified by myself. These were projects done for myself on my time, so i have no plans for further production. Enjoy the pics & theres a run down of my set up below. The second pic was taken when i was rocking my 3rd gen Sabbath.
Frame: Quamen G6.
Fork: OG Macneil fork. 3/8" axel w/ full/regular offset.
Bars: S&M Castillo bars.
Grips: Revenge Dakine black w/ black supercycle foamie sections on the innner bends.
Grip rings: Custom. heat treated 4140 chromoly. single setscrew style. narrow profile w/ some easy on the hands rads.
Barends: Macneil stainless steel.
Stem: Custom. 6061 Aluminum. wide six bolt face plate. offset was eyeballed based on wanting a little more offset than the camacura sixbolt stem, and a little less than 35mm.
Headset: Quamen Lardset cups w/ modified Kink integrated headset. the Kink dustcap needed to be lower profile to fit the Lardset top cup.
Seat & Seatpost: OG Macneil pivitol.
Seat clamp: FBM Hoseclamp.
Cranks: Profile. 4130 chromoly. 175mm arms.
Pedals: Primo Super Tendorizors.
Sprocket: Ronin 30t.
Chain: KMC Kool chain.
Tires: bald ass 1.85" Primo Walls.
Rims: Primo Hula Hoops 48 hole front and rear.
Front hub: Nankai looseball. 48 hole laced 4x w/ 13g spokes.
Rear hub: Nankai freecoaster w/ 11t one piece driver. 48 hole laced 4x w/ 13g spokes.
Axel adaptors/spacers: Custom. 6061 Aluminum. adapts 3/8" axel to 14mm dropouts and centers standard Nankai set up for Quamens wider dropout stance. less washers and shit needed to set up my ride.
Front pegs: Snafu flatland pegs. 2" O.D.
Rear Pegs: Custom. 6061 Aluminum w/ heat treated 4140 chromoly end caps pressed in. main body of peg is 1.75" dia. the knurled end and cap's O.D. is 1.85" i run hockey tape on my pegs so once i wrap the inner section the O.D. is really close to 1.85" the lightly knurled ends w/ beefy rads on the caps to allow for buttery pivoting while keeping my hockey taped surface un-shredded. i got the idea for the knurling pattern from an old set of Primo Tubesteaks i had, but had to tighten it up to fit it onto the 0.750" section i wanted knurled. |

been rockin them since i started riding. after a year and a half i got a set of zero offset forks for a little then bent them, so i switched back to the full/reg set up again. i find it feels like it puts tricks further to push/pop into, but the sweet spot seems like it has a wider control area. this would be opposed to when i had the zero and trick's were closer to get into, but had much less room to play with that balance point. overall i guess you'll just ride what you're used to. for me i think my flat bikes will always have a normal bmx fork. its just comfy for me. |
