OK I will start. I think all versions of music are needed to have progression. It's like riding, or anything else out there. Did you ever just listen to your favorite music forever, and then BAM, your standing in line at the mall to get a pretzel, and hear something over the air that makes you think: Hmmm, it's not my kind of music, but it's kinda catchy. Someone else who is a writer may hear it too, but they incorporate the vibe into a new song YOU like. The next thing you hear from your group is awsome, but you really don't know it had influence from a totally different kind of music you would rather not listen to. IMO. |
