Hey Matthew,

I hope that this message brings joy to your heart and makes you realize all the love that we have for you and the band. When my fiance and I first heard the news we were shocked. We didn't know what to say, we were completely speechless. We have seen you guys six times and everytime we have taken time to talk with you and have gotten to know you and we could not imagine anyone doing what they did to you. There are some awful people out there but what you did was amazing and was a truly heroic act. You should be forever admired for your act of pure courage. I am glad to hear that you are conscious and on your way to making a full recovery. Iris and I wish you the best in your recovery and we want you to know that you are always in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers. God bless you and your family.
