Dear Matthew,

i'm so very glad you're making progress in hospital <3

like everyone else, i went into shock upon reading the news on Nathans blog. shock that this had happened to you, but not shock that you had done such a thing. for this is why we all love you, you do the right thing whatever the consequences. you've reminded me and everyone else that truly selfless acts do still exist, and while there is much evil in the world, there is also just as much good.

i feel so privileged to know and to have met you (at the Croydon house party in march if you're wondering ). a couple of months ago someone asked me why i loved Madina Lake so much. i think i just simply replied "i just love their music". i also added that i loved all your personalities and all of you as people. he was confused by this. i found it difficult to explain. but this heroic act sums up exactly what i meant.

i hope this letter has made you smile or brightened up your day even a tiny bit , so that i have at least returned the favour after the countless times you have made me smile and brightened up my day =]

keep being amazing, i can only hope that one day i have the strength of character and courage that you have.
