Hi Matthew!
This is Silvia from Italy!
First of all, I’m so incredibly happy to hear you’re doing better, that’s great news!!
There’s not much to say in situations like this one, but I really need to tell you this: I admire you, I really do, because everybody is capable of telling that they are disgusted by violence, but then, when actual violence takes place right in front of their eyes, most of them just ignore it.
I know that very well, my friend was robbed in front of my eyes and left lying on the street and when I screamed for help, NO ONE came out of their houses... so yeah, I admire you for being so brave, even though in the end you had to pay a very high price for it.
I’m so proud of being your fan right now, because you proved you are not only a great bassist, but also a great human being, which, in my opinion, is much more important… almost everyone can learn to play, but you can’t learn to be a kind person, you just have to be one of them.
I hope you’ll get well soon, in the meanwhile never forget you’re in the thoughts of all of your fans, a group of people I proudly belong to!
