Yes, this is going to sound pretty stupid but when you're putting up a picture for your profile picture, you have to resize it. I have this strange ImageResizerPowertoy thing and you can select photos to become small but whenever i try to put one that i've made small as my profile picture it says 'The avatar must be less than 140 pixels wide and 120 pixels high' and if i try to put a normal, un-resized one as my profile picture it says 'The avatar image file size must be less than 49 KB' !!!
How do you resize it to fit? agggghhhhhhhhhhhhh Shocked

This is very complicated and probably obvious to everyone apart from me but i am rubbish at explaining stuff Laughing

I use photoshop to resize mine too.

On your resizing thing is there a way to choose how big the image is (like how many pixels wide/high)? That's what you need to do.

I just print screen my picture into paint, then I cut out the actual picture I want, then I paste it into word and shrink it there. Then I print screen the shrunken picture back into paint and save the image.
It probably sounds really complicated but I don't have photoshop of anything Confused
Anyway, it makes sense to me! Smile

you can just skew the picture in paint..you won't have to size it in word.

Whenever I try to make stuff smaller in paint it always loses loadsss of quality and goes all blurry blah blah, but it's fine in word so I do it there =]
