(I was thinking we should make a thread with messages for Matthew. I know the scrapbook is being made, and there are facebook pages, but since Matthew sometimes comes on here, I think it would be good to have a positive thread with messages for him to read, for if he checks the board while he's recovering in hospital, so he can read positive messages in one thread.
I'm crap at messages like this, but I'll go first - and hope everyone else follows!)

Dear Matthew,

Black Velvet loves you! Yet again you've shown yourself to be an amazing, admirable and inspirational person. The kind the world needs more of. Your kindness, selflessness, courage and compassion has shone through as you did what many wouldn't, you tried to help when many would have turned a blind eye and walked away. You are a hero. You deserve the best... for being the best.

Hoping that you get better soon. Thinking of you and wishing you well.

Matthew,
what you did was an act of heroism that not many people would step up to do anymore, and what you recieved for being the kind-hearted person you are, are what people are scared of, and why no one helps those in need on the street. but you stepped up anyway and did such a selfless act to help out a defenceless woman and this act, it makes you more worth looking up to, and i'm proud of what you did, as sad i am to hear you're lying in a hospital bed
i know you'll make a full, speedy recovery, because that's just you Razz

you'll always be a hero to us and you'll always be in our thoughts. i'll wait for that day that you tell us yourself that you are okay.

Your a hero, and very brave to have done what you have done. You should be pleased with what you done. Thoughts are with you and i and we all know your a fighter. if only there were more people in the world like you, the world wouldn't be such a horrible place sometimes and things like this wouldn't have to happen.

truly selfless acts are rare these days, but your actions were truly selfless. we're all hoping with all our hearts that you'll make a full and speedy recovery. the world needs you. please be ok <3

Matthew, you and the guys have always been my heros, you're all so caring, down to earth, (crazy) and our friends.

But what you did was amazing. It's so awful that you are suffering for doing the good thing, not many people would have stepped up.
