Dear Matthew,
I’m so thrilled that you’re getting better.
When I first heard about the whole thing I was in shock.
In shock, but amazed.
Amazed by your incredible courage. Amazed by your decision to act and not just look away and go on.

People always ask me ‘why is he your role model? You haven’t even met him, you can’t consider him that. He hasn’t even done anything to prove he is good…’ I’d usually answer ‘I just Know he is good.’
And now you’ve given me the needed proof that you are. I can now say ‘he did something you would probably never do: he saved someone.’

Ever since I started to listen to ML I’ve considered you my hero. No, I haven't met you, but all those peeps saying you are a cool chap can't be wrong.
Because of you I actually decided to learn how to play guitar, and I’m so glad I did.

Like your brother said you are an angel.
What you did that day, just proved to other people that you are something, that us, fans, already knew, something they would probably never be - a hero.
I think saying you’re amazing just doesn’t do the thing. You’re more than that. All the words in this universe can’t explain how amazing you are.
Again you are a true hero. You better think of a hero name for us to call you by
