Heya. MAME 136U3 seems to work but when I change the controllers (under default game options, controllers) to allow for mouse input, every game I try to run gives me the error "could not load controller file wrlr*****.cfg, where you'll see w and then a bunch of small square boxes, followed by a few more letters... I have to reset the defaults to get things back to normal, even if I change the controllers to not allow mouse support it's still corrupt... Any idea why this happens?
okay, it's wierd, this is what it looks like...

Yup. It's a UNICODE thing. It will be fixed. Thank you for reporting.
EDIT: Ok, it's fixed. Please wait for next release. In the meantime, to avoid the error, go into \INI\MAME.INI and delete all random chars near the option "ctrlr". Save the file and exit. Do this after you have enabled the mouse or modified in any way the "Controllers" section, without closing the emulator. It should work as a workaround.
Feel free to report any other similar GUI bug. The fact that now FX has switched to UNICODE support could cause issues. They are easy to fix but hard to detect/find... |

| Uh... No, you shouldn't. Official MAME has switched to UNICODE in 0.136u1 but this doesn't mean we'll see japanese support in the core or in the GUI. |
