Now then folks.

Popping in here for some info on the transport to/from (mainly from) Matlock to Sheffield after the Whitby game against your lot on Wednesday.

Travelling from and to Sheffield, not actually Whitby, but via public transport, it's providing to be a nightmare. And not being from around the South Yorkshire area my knowledge of the transport system aint great. Despite it being just over 20miles, the only train back from Matlock to Sheffield after the game, doesnt arrive in sheffield till 1.13 am Shocked

Hoping some locals in here and tell us about any quicker ways to get from Matlock to Sheffield after the game, I cant spot any late buses either.

Bus from Matlock to Chesterfield then train onwards to Sheffield mate

Must be some Whitby supporters who can at least give you a lift back as far as Chesterfield and plenty who watch Matlock who live out that way.

Yer mate there is but there's a few of us coming over for the game.

Told you can drink round the ground at your place, so that's why we' re trying to do it via public transport. The transport system to Matlock seems almost a bad as our in Whitby!

As long as the drinks are in plastic cups then I can confirm that you are allowed to drink outside the social club.

At the final whistle run across the park (2mins) to the railway station to catch 9 39 train to derby, then the 10 28 train to Sheffield. Arrive sheffield 11 03. Hope this helps
