Hmmm yes good day,
Started with Printed Rev on 30ft lines, didn't know Revs made kites that big, and fast too, have to try lighter winds next time.
Moved to standard on 120ft lines and had a good fly as Pete says flew the routines a number of times and not too shabby either.
Winds dropped and changed direction and end flying Zen need more practice as it flew so slow.
Bring on next week end _________________ Chris

On the 21st October 2009 Vince started the Darkside Diary.
We are very close, in fact 32 views (as I write this) off 10,000 views of the Diary.
Thanks must go first to Vince for starting the thread and then to all the contributors. Finally to all the Darkside Readers.
Keep going and lets aim for 20,000! _________________ Pete

At first I thought this was an April fool. It's not and it is better reading than the blue tilley thread!!
I hope Petes' observation isn't like stating "the rain has stopped" on a kite field or his personal favorite "mid vents"
One question when I get to 10,000 can I stop pressing this button-only kidding.
Thank you all who read and contribute. Long live the darkside. _________________ www.fusionrevteam.co.uk

So after about 250 posts to the Darkside Diary we have passed the 10,000 views.
I suppose the next target is either 500 posts or 20,000 views I wonder which will come first?
The majority reading this will now be convinced I am

Another good team practice with mainly mid vents with a variety of spars.
As the day wore on the team went from 6 to 5 to finally 4.
The final pirates was a bit wow.
Really enjoyed flying Rainbow. _________________ Pete

Coming together nicely inspite of the missing spar.
I think it went 6 to 5 to 4 to 0 to 1
Well done to the last man standing
NT or NI is going well. All should be in place this week
International delivery is closing and should now just be subject to clearance
Summer wear will be started this week
4 weeks and the Fusion 2011 tour begins _________________ www.fusionrevteam.co.uk

Lol. tour bus. Fusion will be flying.
As for the supporting act there is a certain piece of music that one member likes to dance to in the fashion of Eric and Ernie

A great day and some great new kites on display. Mid vents and standard flown with the appearance of an xtravent which flew well .
I can't remember how many times we flew the routines but they are gradually getting tighter and polished .
Team responded well to calls particuarly when I could only call gibberish (That must have been either. the first signs of exhaustion or old age) .
It was nice to see so many public and the comments were encouraging. Today
Pete must have had the record for the most pirate names in one day
Now I'm remembering that sun cream should be applied when that big yellow ball is in the sky _________________ www.fusionrevteam.co.uk

Yes, a very good day. Started with EXP on 30ft lines then moved to mid vent on the same 30ft, what a sweet combination, should be tried. With the arrival of the rest of the team moved up to 120ft lines. Late onmoved to standard kites.
Oh yes thanks Vince for organising the ordering and delivery of the new kites, even Brenda is impressed with the red & grey 1.5, cann't wate for her to see the Rev 1, when it arrives.
The routines started well and got better, even understood your gibberish calls. So if speaking gibberish is a sign of old age, what is understanding it the sign of?
Now to end a very good day I think Ill go and find a cool beer.
Thanks to one and all. _________________ Chris

Fusion attended the East Yorkshire Show at Driffield this weekend. With a 40 minute slot in the morning and a 30 minute in the afternoon is was great to start the season.
The crowds and fellow kite fliers gave us great support and encouragement. Thank you all.
The winds were trying, going from 4-5mph up to 25mph gusts with directional changes to keep us on our feet.
Nice feedback received and possible new future events mean a busy season ahead.

Fusion flew at the 1st Western Lakes Kite Festival this weekend.
The weather changed from heavy rain to bright sunshine on both days.
Mid vents on Saturday. Sunday we flew Extra vents (Vince and Pete N) full vents (rest of team) mid vents, Zens and standards, in that order this could be a record for one day.
Big thank you to the organisers, NKG and Jim Potts for the invitation.
Dave Holt for his commentary and other kite fliers for their encouraging and supportive comments.
The Box didn't make it to Millom maybe Harewood! _________________ Pete

Well its been a great start to the season at Driffield and the Western Lakes festivals, we've really been tested with winds from 0 to the high 20's but we still have BDG's
It's been really great to have so much positive feedback from organisers, fellow flyers and the public, and a big thank you to everyone for there support.
I'm looking forward to team practice on Sunday, it will seem a little quite after the last two weekends, but it's Harewood in less than two weeks!! _________________ Pete N

Back on the practice Field today
It was nice to have time to work on the routines and refine the 5,4,3 variations. Looking really good and very smooth.
Extravent, full vent flown.
Stick practice was also very useful.
A fine day and contributions made to kite funds were very welcome _________________ www.fusionrevteam.co.uk
