Im allowed to criticise. I thought the tag was basically covering the main part of the photo. Which imo ruins it. And im allowed to say my opinion on it. But everyone got defensive about it, instead of just taking it on board for the future.
If theres things up with my pics, i would rather someone told me. |

I will admit that was rude, but i think if i remember correctly, it was getting a bit heated. So i probs shouldnt have said that, but in turn, i wouldnt say that i didnt mean what i said though. |

I don't want to get involved in the debate although a lot of people do tag photos across the middle. I have seen it on other boards that I post on. Maybe you haven't seen people do this. At the end of the day everyone can tag their pix how they want. If you see someone tagging pix differently to you, it's better to just accept it and move on. Or if you do want to give someone advice on tagging, maybe PM them, nicely, or do it politely rather than be mean about their pix.
Although I don't post heaps and heaps on this board I do read it and I know that everyone on here is awesome. No-one deserves to have their photos criticised so harshly (obviously constructive criticism can help people improve, but there's a way to do that politely). I have been on other boards where people are really mean and everyone here is so much nicer and friendlier. In fact, this board is the probably the best board with the best people on anywhere - and that's no doubt inspired by Madina Lake and their philosophies. Maybe your initial comment came across too strongly. At the end of the day, everyone should respect everyone else. Not everyone gets photopasses, not everyone has expensive cameras, not everyone will get the most amazing photos - but everyone has feelings.

yeah i agree with that, i juts got a little annoyed when i saw those comments because i value the people on here and i don't like it when they get crap

I agree with what you say. I was too harsh.
For the example, the person we were talking about. I think her tagging was over the top, and thats my opinion. But she can do what she wants. I think it would have benefited her more, to put the tag lower down the picture at the bottom. This would have gave averyone a good photo too look at. And she said it was to stop people stealing on bebo, imo, she she should do what i just said and put a link to her bebo on it. Thus, getting credit for the images.
Imo tagging images is to show that you took those pictures and get credit. Obviously if you get some exclusive shot, you would tag it like she did so nobody made money off it. But i dont think that people would steal her pictures and make money from them (that wasnt ment to sound like an insult btw) |

i get why people tag thier pictures.
as a fyi, to make your tags look nicer just use such things as photoshop (you can get trial's on google etc) and im sure there other ways of getting it if you catch my drift.
I help with my sister's {as she not as equipped with photoshop haha} but as you can see the 'tags' i use are just simple texts but big enough so people can see
