Just thought to bring this thread up since I think it's interesting xD
I think in about 100 years (if the earth is still there LOL. hehee) everyone will have mixed blood: whether you're American/UKer or Japanese/African.
And I read somewhere (unreliable source btw lol) that people with mixed blood have a stronger body and that they don't get much sick, what about you guys?
I'm not much sick same as my sister, but I don't think the reason of that is that we have mixed blood.

^ haha, I don't study biology so I have no clue how true that is either but it's certainly an interesting thought!
Though my whole family is pretty healthy really and we're not really mixed blood at all...well there are small parts of Australian and English and mayybe Irish but yeah, they all have the same origins ultimately
The only major sickness/disease that I can think of was my grandfather's cancer, but that was caused entirely by smoking, so...

I just read through all this and, what exactly is "american" blood?
Because everyone here roots back to another country, unless you're native american or ancestors were colonists... which would root back to being british anyways.
So does american blood actually exist?

anyway i have English Italian Dutch German Polish ect =P and i am related to 2 American presidents >.<
btw Da nada (spelling is prob shit) is spanish for your welcome
and Yvette i beleave the fact that people with mixed blood are more immune, cuz viruses are localized, and people in that area eventually grow immunity, if they go places, the other people have 0% immunity, so if you are mixed blood you have the immunities from all the races you have ancestors from. |

I think with what Yvette was saying bout mixed blood being stronger, it could have some truth in it, cause like well thats why we dont do incest (part from the fact its morally wrong) Same when you breed animals, you tend to get different types (unless its dog breeding and you want a pedigree) for their strengths...and on the note of dogs crossbreeds are statistically smarter than pedigrees...

But there you're using "American" just as an indicator of "nationality", not race, which to me seems more relevant to the topic of "blood", if you get what I mean. [Because, technically "America" includes not just the USA but all of South America as well =P]...sure after the war they may have started calling themselves American, but it's the same genetic make-up right? What we name things doesn't change the biology haha.
And Yvette, I'm not an expert. but I think you're right there. More or less, Spain [and Portugal] colonised South America and then Britain caught on the the economic and power advantages and started colonising Northern America...and I'm sure other European countries took minor parts as well but that's the main thread as I understand it.
