Jim that was over30 years ago closer to about 32 years I would say dosen't make much difference anyhow. Wink
BTW the red neck was a smoke ring from checking on the meat all the time had no thermoneters then and probley coulden't afford one then anyhow. Rolling Eyes Wink

I just wonder how deep of a smoke ring you got there Old Barry. Smoking meat for over 30 years, it's got to be pretty deep.

That's the question I was going to ask....

I'm watching this thread with GREAT interest as I have a similar old fridge outside, except all the insulations been ripped out - just the outside shell left. Actually it's an old upright freezer. Bought it off an old fart last fall for $25, he smoked sausage in it for 20 years.

I didn't see him throw an old freezer on his truck when he picked up the cooker so coulden't have been me and I didn't get the $25. bucks either.
