UDS fever has hit Central Manitoba Cool Cool .. Just finished #3 .. Only one lives at my house ( for now ) .. I have 2 others that want them also ...
The small square basket is for smaller cooks , like ribs , chicken etc .. Get about 8 hours out of the square basket , 9" sq and 9" high . The big one is 15 1/2 " dia 9" high ... Never used it all yet but should go over 14 hours ...

These things are a great way to turn out awesome Q....

What are you using for the lid on that last one Darrel? Your air intake, is that 1.5" dia?

The last lid is just 14 gauge metal with a 1" flat bar ring on the underside that fits snug on the inside of the drum .. The exhaust is 4 , 3/4" holes which is the same as a Weber kettle lid .. 4 at 3/4" is a little more exhaust than the original BDS units that have 8 , 1/2" holes ..

The first two have 2 , 3/4" nipples down low and a 1" pipe with a valve .. This one has all 3 at 3/4" , don't think the 1 inch was needed .. I think that by having 3 intakes you can get a nice even burn ... When its burning good I dont have all 3 open , mostly just one and fine tune with the valve . But I have options etc ..

This link is is the way I made my baskets ... They work great catching all the ashes in a pan instead of the bottom of the drum ..
