Yeah won 1-0 Gareth!

Great three points, loanee Lewis McMahon slotting home the winner in the second half.

Good performance all round from the lads, Yatesy had a good game in midfield, Kingy work tirelessly as usual and the partnership of Lukey and Laurence Gaughan at the back seem's to be coming on well.

Always seemed as though a single goal would win it, glad it went are way.

Well done lads!

Indeed I can, Lewis McMahon with the goal in the second half after going round the keeper and beating the defender on the line.

We looked really good in defence including Lukic who took a nasty knock in the first half and by the second half was doing over head kicks to clear the ball.

The midfield looked strong and the addition of Yates alongside King in the middle looks like a master stroke by Mark.

Up front, we did look a bit toothless at times as has being our problem for most of the season and the first half we looked a bit lost but in the second half McMahon and Holmes really seemed to click and we began to put some good moves together.

All in all a deserved three points that should guarantee any relegation fears we had have now banished and the lads can take great happiness out of the performance.

Highlights coming Sunday!

A good 3 points this afternoon and vital before the Burscough game.

It is days such as this that I like at Matlock particularly at Causeway Lane. Would not quite be the same watching Matlock play anywhere else at home!

A deserved win in the end but let’s not get carried away it was not that good. We created a few chances, they created hardly any. Fortunately Yates is such a quality player that playing him in midfield works but I suspect this move was born out of desperation.

Relegation can finally be put to bed next week and then we will have a great opportunity to look at some up and coming players and progress to getting rid of the has been’s.

What are you talking about Pea? Perhaps some one whispered something in your ear?

Islander just saying how lucky we are to play at such a nice ground and not one of those horrible new concrete grounds we often come across

Oh it must have been the wind whispering in the tree’s that I heard.

I could spend all night describing how nice a ground Causeway Lane can be but I just need to nip to the supermarket before it closes.

It was a hard fought victory today. The points were not crucial as don't think we will be involved towards the bottom but every little helps

Watching the goal you just have to say that was shocking from a Nantwich point of view. The bloke taking the throw just chucked it on to a Matlock players head and then the big defender kicked thin air before the ball fell to McMhaon who finished very nicely. thumbs up
