"Matlock Town's home game with play-off chasers FC United comes under the scrutiny of The Non-League Paper this Sunday.
The Gladiators are currently 14th in the Northern Premier League Premier Divison and, while not mathematically safe from relegation, are almost certainly set for a ninth straight season at Step 3 level.
They will be eager to finish the campaign as high in the table as possible and will hope to get the better of a FCUM side that have lost their last two games.
But the Rebels know a third straight defeat would severely damage their hopes of a top-five finish and will be fired up for their visit to Causeway Lane.
It should be a great advert for Step 3 football and for that reason, The NLP have selected it as their Northern Premier League star game this weekend.
That means an extended 450-word match report plus the best pictures and post-match reaction.
So for top coverage of the Gladiators' clash with the Rebels, make sure you pick up a copy of the paper this Sunday!
Also, don't forget you can keep up to date with the latest news from the Non-League game at www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.com”
We will be this weeks feature game so make sure to pick up a copy of The non league paper this Sunday! |

Looking forward to listening to the live commentary at home this afternoon. I wonder if Radio Derby will ever cover Matlock live? _________________ Prediction League Champion 2006/2007 and 2010/2011 runner-up 2009/2010 and 2011/2012 although I don't like talking about it.

What a brilliant game, every Matlock player was brilliant today and we saw the Ian Holmes of old striking with the first goal which was a real poachers effort, the OG was very unlucky and the ball was going in anyway and King’s strike to win it was a thunderbolt from the edge of the area! |

That was certainly good value for money and an entertaining game.
Backs to the wall stuff some of the time with some resolute goal keeping and defending and fortunately King was in the right place to steer home the winner. Great player and so pleased to see him score.

Many thanks and much appreciated. It was good to see the goals again - and in slow motion!
