I've cooked on the vertical, horizontal, and offset Stumps, Backwoods Fat Boy, Party, Chubby, Ceramics, Traegers, and grills. I cook a few KCBS contest each year and currently use the Extended Party and Traeger Jr for those. I have contracted this wierd desire to have a cooker built. I'll try to find the proper place to post about that and see what the builder experts think.

Thanks,
Chet Calhoun

Hey buddy, I just signed up for this site today, and yours was the first post I saw! I've also got an itch to build a smoker (see my post)! I love my Backwoods more each time I use it, but I'm somewhat intriqued by the Stumps, and thought I might give that a shot! So how's the trailer coming along?

real happy with the trailer. just added a small honda generator to the mix but still waiting to try out the venting for cooking inside the trailer till I get some new gaskets on the backwoods (user error). if it works it will be real nice doing those cold weather contest. I did get some encouragement on building a cooker like I described today - just want to have all my ducks in a row before I go ahead with it. sure wish some of these guys here would chime in on that idea.
