Most of my winter has been spent smoking fish so this weekend I need to update the albertabonesbbq website wit some pics of the product. I need a pulled pork sandwich shot, some chicken and some sausage as well as a meatloaf. My wife the queen of desserts is working on a couple of new ones as well ( also planned to steal Robs grilled bannana bread, but please don't tell him). That is my weekend smoke plan. What is in your smoker? |

Darrel... look at the "WWW" button at the bottom of his post. PS. Where's your button?
That was some good dessert... Of course, you'd have to drive to North Battleford and track down the Hutterites that I bought it from that morning.
That chocolate Rider bacon was pretty damn good too!
So Bones, when are we going to see some pics of that new concession trailer? You have that thing done yet? |

The shop at the farm has my hood and fan sitting in it. I am taking the first week of April off my real job to try and get it finished. I have two catering events booked for the summer in talks to do one in the fall for a large construction company and am also discussing a couple of vending gigs ( every damn town in and around edmonton wants you to buy a business license and the non resiident ones are damn expensive so the math has to work) and plan to do two competitions at least so I need to get my s##*t together over the next three weeks.
Will post pics as I get the work done. |

I agree on the chicken Darrel, I just dont like to eat it at the best of times and unless it is on a sammie doused in something it does nothing for me. Maybe next time I will do just thighs.
clark the deserts are a berry cheesecake and the other one is peanut butter crunch. I don't eat desserts and my wife took them to her work and I understand they were devoured very quickly the peanut butter one is really good. If you want the recipes I can post them once I steal them from beneath her pillow! |
