Ohh i also dare i say it, kinda look upto Sean Smith (I KNOW MENTAL RIGHT?!) hahahah! only for the fact he's like stright edge, totally throws of the rock star stereotype into debate haha, (Hayley Williams too for that matter) i just love it when bands dont have to get totally wasted to have fun, idk why i just appreicate them morei guess,

DUUUDE i am soo with you about Jamie Oliver!!! for mainly the same reasons as you stated.

All of Madina Lake obviously. But especially Mateo. Just because he is such an awesome person. First time i met him he was so easy to talk to and was just so nice. My camera was totally fked from the gig and he helped me sort it haha! Then whenever i spoken to him since then he remembers who i am which pretty much makes me happy as Razz

my mum because after all she has been through she is there for us doing her best, she supported her sister through her illness and my grandma too while training to become a nurse and being a mum to 5 children under the age of 13
all of Madina Lake but Matthew especially for being so lovely and caring and too damn awesome to describe:)

But also Charlie Simpson, not really an idol, but I admire the way he has been able to completely re-invent himself. As the person he wants to be.

Madina lake for obvious reasons and I agree with kiya about Matthew, he's gotten me into reading books now which made me look back at how much I've really missed reading, so Matthew thank you for that.

HIM music because it's dark and romantic and Ville vocals just flows in with the music I just hope one day I get to see them live. I can't wait for their new album to come out next year!

you know. this is a good question.

i was thinking about it and apart from the standard 'i look up to EVERYONE cuz im so short' xD answer i can't think of anyone.

i want to say madina lake.. but i don't know. idol/icons/role models...

i dunno it just doesn't feel like it suits them for some reason xD but yeah im rambling.

meh i'll go with madina. actually...

i think i look up to most band members actually simply because i don't know how they can play in front of thousands and thousands of people (whether they're sober or drunk tbh lol). i get so nervous on a stage (which doesn't happen often now thank god) but it did when i was in school doing concerts and shizzle

so you can ignore that first part xD

well nathan leone - his lyrics inspire me so much and has helpped me a heck of alot and just how nice he is to the RP etc he is an amazing guy an di love him to bits.

Ian Watkins - cant really say anything his accetn jsut does it for me and 2) Lostprophets were one of the first bands i got in to and made me who i am some of the songs have helped me but just the way ian is like he couldnt give a flying f**k about what people think.

Hayley williams- her fashion her hair her voice its all amazing i cant wait to see her on stage i look up to her a lot and i mean alot she just a very inspiering person

GREEN DAY - this band made me who i am made me realise how 1 thing can affect a human in a such an amaizng way i am who i am because of them and i still cant beleive i still aint seen them live closest ive got is listening to them live down a phone.

Hayley Williams because she's one of the first women in rock to be taken literally seriously, and one of the few who take it seriously unlike other women in rock who get their t**s out at any opportunity, ugh. My mum's a feminist and having such a strong woman in a band is really inspiring in my opinnion. And she's inspired so many girls to try getting into bands as well, overthrowing the male rockstar persona that exists.

My parents are incredible people <3

There are so many others that I'm completely stuck to think of right now....

JK Rowling. I wanna be a writer and she's amazing tbh, plus her books have affected my life a lot (I'm such a Potter nerd) and made me realise some really important things..

I didn't say Madina Lake in my first post...for me they're not really idols or role models as such. Icons - yes. Them/their music and my love for ML is such a massive part of my life - of my identity even, that they definitely deserve a mention in this thread =).

I think a lot of people say they look up to someone because of the way they look. Personally, I'd call that admiration or maybe even desire to look like them. I don't think that's inspiration but that's my opinion.
