I noticed some of my downlights take one click to turn on. While some others flicker a couple times before it lights up.
One most irritating part is one of my toilet lights is the first type while the other is the second type.
Anyone can enlighten me what type of bulb will switch on in one click and which are the ones i should be buying?
Thanks. |

hmmm... i'm not very knowledgeable, but i think this has to do with the ballast your light is using? If you ask the lighting shop, they should be able to advise you immediately. |

Its not exactly the type of bulb...more of the electronics/electromagnetic stuff powering them. Once you have installed I guess its difficult to change.
The bulb type is pretty standard, coz once you opted for that electronics-bulb combi, you cannot anyhow change to other types as the 2 are closely coupled.
I have T5 high-output fixtures, I can put in normal output tubes (coz cheapo I have some spare stuff and don't wanna get HO tubes as they are pretty ex), just that they will burn out faster as they are overdriven. But for downlights using the G24 type 1/2/3 bases, you are pretty much stuck. |
