Sometimes our exhausts are just that loud Doesnt mean we are speeding, just revving at the same speed as you, but alot louder. Im sure the kids and elderly can hear us coming |
Contrary to this observation made, I tend to think that the type of cars that drive the fastest and do all these illegal turns are mostly those very stock looking, very basic bread and butter cars without even a hint of a set of aftermarket rims. Basically, it gives me the impression that they cant care less with regards to their vehicles or driving for that matter. So convenience, time, and destination is the only language they converse in.
the loud cars.... yah, most of the times they are "just" loud.... more show then go. And these type of drivers actually do give more attention to their vehicles and are likely more KS about any accidents that might happen to their cars.
Contractors' vans, mini-lorries, stock looking cars with badly conditioned paintwork and dents all over.... these are the danger drivers. They belong to the put signal and go immediately type. They think if got car coming will horn them, so they leave it to other road users to siam them or horn them. |

| I don park at basement. genna before hit and run, some scratches and paint came off. From then on I don park there anymore. Always on the 1st floor. And easier access to the letterboxes. no need wait for the slow slow lift twice. |

Encounter this car plate SGP3114P coming from 2nd storey carpark instead of turning right, he turned left (short-cut) to exit.
I was walking next to his car, he seemed not to bother to his wrong doing.
At that moment i hope there are incoming cars and not to give him way out.
Drive big car without any brain and conscious on other road user safety.
Probably he will "learn" lesson when being hit sooner or later with flying life. |

unfortunately the town council/HDB(whoever is in charge) will not do anything unitil someone actually gets hurt badly or die as a result of these cars going against indicated flow of traffic.
yesterday was apiece of news about the expat that died as a result of his own cigarette butt that caused the fatal fire. Many times i have wrote in to alert town council of the occasional smoldering cigarette butts that are found in my yard; highlighting the dangers of fire risk. What I got was your clothes are hung up high on the rack and should post no danger. The officer has got the cheek to tell me its a very common problem reported by residents here; yet they do not seem to have step up the campaign of education for these errant smokers. |

Even my planter and yard have landed with those butt for several occasion.
Our is lower floor, that we are concern on the yard which we thought of fixing the grille for safety
Once i place my pillow at the planter very early morning, and the next moment less than 5 min, a lighted butt landed on my pillow, the case was stained with the flame.
HDB n town council nowadays do not bother and turn dumb with our complaints. they only want our conservancy $$$

I feel that the problem has gone out of hand. Too many people going the wrong way.
Especially coming from Neil Road Entrance between B and C. There is only a right turn, seen too many people take a left to park there. In addition, many people going the wrong way trying to take shortcuts to the parking lots.
So we need to name and shame these people or is there an accident that is waiting to happen? |

Woah... careful ar. See this:
http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10327p.nsf/w/CarPark1RulesNFine?OpenDocument
Yes, there's a fine for 'Drawing/Driving/Pushing/Parking motor vehicle in a disorderly manner without due regard for the safety of other vehicles and persons.', item 11(1).
But there is also a '14(c) Cause/allow vehicle to be washed in a parking place.'
Gahman really fine fine fine. |

Thats great news, fixes one of the major issues with our carpark. I wonder if this only is for that one ramp or for lvl 1 down to basement as well? |

CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Few days ago, one of our neighbour witnessed parking attendant standing at the spot (Level 2 going down to make illegal Left Turn) and stop all cars making illegal left turn to exit.
Quite garang.... asked them to reverse and follow proper directions.
I think the complains works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally ..... today they laid Cement at the point where Level 2 Coming Down to Level 1... favourite spot where those Selfish Drivers make a Fast Left Illegal Turn.
I hope they also do the same for Level 1 going up to Level 2 carpark....
So many of them made iLLegal left turn just to save that few seconds to reach parking lots.
Had a few near misses .... |

A very good step towards improving the safety in our carpark indeed. I notice they also create a temporary shelter to house the workers in the carpark. Hopefully this mean that they will be implementing more improvements to our carpark?
I wondering would it better to make entrance E & A for season parking/emergency vehicles only so level 1 and 2 carpark lots are reserved more for residences. Visitors can enter from blk F entrance 24/7 and route them to basement carpark instead. Get gantry from basement to level 1 to operate so that it will block non-season holder from 10.30pm onwards. This solve some current issues like taxis trying to enter after 10.30pm and stop them from jamming the entrances as well. It will allow guests/relatives to park overnight in basement carpark only. Overnight parking charges applies though. The only problem is i'm not sure if our current parking lots are sufficient or not to cater to this change.
I personally never drive thru blk f entrance before. Not sure if this will work thought. |

sometimes i wonder d gantry at d entrance to 2nd level cp, y is nt bein activated ?? |

Actually what i'm proposing is to make level 1 & 2 more exclusive to residents instead of basement 1 (which will be more for visitors). So privacy wouldn't be an issue here. Since most of us drive thru entrance E, it makes more sense and it's definitely more convenient for the lots at level 1 to be reserved for season parking. Most multi storey carpark adopt this practice by making the first few levels for season parking only, not sure why our carpark is the exact opposite. |

This is impossible at this time because level 1 is the only one with high ceilings allowing moving trucks, furniture vans, rubbish trucks, and even the mailman (since our mailbox are at this level). Because of this level 1 has to be open for guests and outsiders. |

Yes. I have thought of this before. Our attendents man the carpark 24/7 and they can get thru using the intercomm system for those oversized vehicles (which will be few and during office hours). The rest can navigate their way from Basement up the ramp to level 1.
If that does not work then simply paint the lots accordingly to prioritise the residents first. |

| Please, basement carpark is the most convenient for those staying in blocks F and G. We have no carparks and basement is the nearest to us. There is a slope that goes up to our lobbies. |
