Hello from Tulsa, OK. Started checking out the site this weekend and wasted way to many hours (according to my wife).

I've had a Traeger for years and love it. Big on ease and convenience. Favorite is ribs and Butts, and turkey - love smoked turkey. Family is growing so I started looking at other options for "Bigger and Better" and stumbled upon the gravity fed units.

I've access to a friend's shop and we may try building ours together. I was going to build them separately but there is so much great info here that I'm feeling pretty good about the learning curve. I think I will focus on making new mistakes. it's a specialty of mine.

I am looking for some local guys that have clones. Would love to see one in action before I make the time and material commitment. Of course if I build it and then find out I don't like it, I just got my Father-In-Law's Christmas gift.

Cheers,

Len

Welcome to the forum. I know there are a couple of clones in the Broken Arrow, OK region. Maybe you could hook up with either Steve or Robert as they are only about 15 minutes from you. Good luck.

Thank you kindly, Sir. Heading out of town for a little bit and I will try to get in contact with them when I get back.

Take care.
