I think given the options, I'm going to have to go with the light on the headband - at competitions. I'm afraid I'd cast a big shadow with any light source behind me. At home, I'll have the lights on my patio -- that was last year's project building the 10'x20' patio cover with 4 recessed lights, 2 ceiling fans, drops for speakers. Then I ran rope lights all the way around the ceiling. It's a great party patio. |

Tom, I hadn't thought about a magnetic mount, I had just thought of the clamp mount and couldn't think of much to clip it to. But the magnetic mount could go on the door or even stuck to the inside wall someplace while you have it opened up. Great idea.
Jim, I'll get some pictures this weekend of the patio. We have a couple of pictures from when we bought the house when it had just a lattice cover over it. That was nice to block a little sunshine, but we couldn't leave out pillows on our chairs due to rain and the only light at that point was the porch light on the back of the house. |

Right now I have one of these lights. We sell them where I work and have been going light wild fire with all of the hunters and fishermen who come in. The thing goes on the rim of your hat and a little button on the bottom turns it on and off.
