Hello fellow forumers,

October is going to be an "eventful" month for our family ...

1. We will be officially moving into Pinnacle this weekend ... so if you
happen to see some weird looking beings hanging around blk f,
it is most probably just me.

2. Tasha, a "noop" in music was strangely picked to be in her school's
violin program ... which means, I'll be several hundreds poorer
in many months to come ... darn, why don't they just picked her for
something more affordable like singing, dancing or running?

3. Wifey should be on her way home now attending her 10yrs
service anniversary dinner and she will be leaving her asthetician
job of 15yrs in pursuing her dream in starting her own little humble
trade ... which also translated to more pocket holes to come and
stress to burn for me ... and probably I'll be safetycar's very first
nocturnal kaki in many nights to come ... staring at his fishes and
hope "they" will share with us the secret on
"how to sleep with your eyes open" and
"me" on how to survive on fish food alone.

Before I go on with my senseless rambling ...
I would be much appreciate if you can kindly support in the little poll survey to help wifey's understanding in serving the market better.

Thx Shan, hope you can help my daughty to transform noise to music before it become the next annoying thing next to the fire alarm.
As a rebel teenager who only listen to rock music ... this piece introduced me to the world of classical music when i was browsing thru Tower Records many many years ago ... I'm so obsess with this piece that I onced hooked listening to every rendition i can find then ... and still do ....

Although the course is pricey, the smile on my daugthy's face soon wipe out my miserly thoughts ... her smile worth every cents I paid.

Tasha (ever smiley since the violin ordeal): Daddy, i really need to get this violin things out of my mind (swooshing her hand across her face like a mask changing artiste).
Daddy: Huh? Don't tell me you are quitting so soon ... I just paid a bomb tis morning!!!
Tasha: No!!! ... last night, i'm so excited for my first violin lesson that i kept waking up at night and now I don't think i ever going to sleep with the violin close beside me!!!.

Shan, you sounded feminine ... hope to hear more of your suggestion on wifey's little project and of course hope to be of service to you.

Hey Orion, my 2 cents worth of information:

My mom was a beautician a long time ago when we were younger. She operated in our house, so her clients will come up to our place. Back in the 80s, facial was simple, the most fancy equipment she had was the face steamer and this thing that clears off bacteria (good for acne skin).

Nowadays, technology has improved and there are better machines out there (like the diamond peel machine). Usually these machines can be found in salons hence I guess that's why most votes are in Beauty Salons.

My facial place is at Tg Pagar market. Smile

@Armadillo, Thank you for the warmth welcome and voting.
Hey! I, too never go facial but did enjoyed afew during my wifey's apprentice days when she used me as a guinea pig for all her course ...
from experiencing excruciate pain from surprised poking of my eye sockets & nostrils stage to ... deep relaxing snoring sleepzzzzz ... under her 10 tender fingers ... hmmh ... those were the days when I lived like a KING ... and probably the reason we tied the knot ...
Ooops! don't tell her ha ...
Now, if I beg for one ... she will give me her famous 5 fingers ... not those high-5 ones but rather the "Tang Gu Gu" sign.
So now "Bo Bian", I have to rely on my very own 10 fingers and toes to work on my aching bones.
Glad to know your wifey knows how to pamper herself and maybe you can ask her to give you your very first facial experience and let's hope she doesn't give you the 5 TGG fingers.

@Fia, Really appreciate your personal sharing and definitely will hilight to wifey on the diamond peel device.
I am not a market guy but for this Sunday, I will be dragging wifey down to Tg Pagah market to have a feel of natural facial treatment! or .......
is there really a good recommended facial salon at Tg Pagah Market???

Yup that's a very nice piece. I played that for my brother's wedding march-in. My favorite too. Smile

Well as for giving suggestions regarding your wife's Facial project, I'm not too sure whether I'm a good subject to ask. :p
Coz I'm not really the ai-sui kind... Only went facial like 3 or 4 times in my whole life. Most of which are for important or key events like before my wedding photo shoot, before my wedding itself, attending close family members' big day etc.. Haha... Embarassed

Hi orion
Congrats! Wishing your wife great success in her beauty business.
Welcome to the neighbourhood! U're finally moving in after getting your keys since so long hehee... Ok i've voted. Honestly i'm not a facial person. I last had one was like 10 years ago. Back then i wouldn't mind staying hours in the beauty salon or hair salon for the sake of looking nice. Now with work & family it's like the last thing to do...But I do use skincare products everyday and i stick mainly to certain brands & products that works well on me. I'm a very lazy person to go to the salon especially as i grow older hahaa but i keep reminding myself there's no ugly people but lazy people & i must put in effort if i wanna be in the right track of aging gracefully in future. Thanks for sharing, will be glad to give my support. Do keep me in the loop yeah?

@shan ... No problem ... but sometime the best advice or suggestion need not necessary came from the expert ...
in fact, I think it would be much more interesting to hear from someone who has no interest, voicing the possibilities what may move their heart a little closer to it ...
I personally feel that it would be a GEM to know the secret in unlocking someone's heart of interest.

Believe me ... your ordeal with facial is quite similar to mine; most of my life, i detest shaving ... I, too only shave during special occasion ...
not that I look good with it but rather it gives people a reason why I did not look good.

Frankly, I actually shaved during the morning of my wedding photoshoot ... man, that was really a bad idea ...
can still rem taking all those outdoor shots under the hot sentosa sun, sweating all over my rashed neck.

shan, how can anyone who loves pachelbel, plays the violin ... be not the ah sui kind ... I chose not to believe!

@ArielC ... Thank you for your well wishes & voting!
Yupz! Finally, moved in and was like relaxing over the sofa under soft playing music ... as I opened my eyes towards the ceiling ... was shocked to find ...
clusters of dead insects inside the d/lights' glass panel ... immediately had to climb and dislodge all 18 g/panels for cleaning.

Haiz ... just when I thought I can finally relax and enjoy my post reno ... my wifey came up with this bomb project in embarking another reno nightmare.

ArielC, Thank you for your kind support in advance!
It has been my motto to grow old graciously as well but not in how i look since i'd gave up hope on that long long time ago ...
sometimes, I do Thank God for playing tricks on my wifey's eyes ... otherwise, I would not have been the proud father of my 2 wonderful princessess.

Your mentioning on skincare product enlightened me with an idea that instead of bringing one to the facial centre, we can actually bring the facial product to them for DIY.

Hope you do not mind me "pm-sharing" you my wifey's skincare product brand that she will be representing ... in case it falls into one of the product that you are using.

@psyoyo, No worries ... if you shld drop by ... I can make wifey to ensure you to be wide awake all the time but then again ... she says that it is very normal for cleints to fall asleep during the ordeal ... As a matter of fact, many were annoyed if they don't get to snore enough.
As for the $$$, there will be definitely a special discount rate for All Pinnaclets & friends.
Thx! for casting your vote!

@fia, Thx for sharing abt Angel Face; let us know if you are using the "D" product ... Wink
I actually KO when wifey brought me her decision but I guess I've got to get use to it as I forsee, there will be many many KOs to come.

Owing to those who had polled; wifey has follows her heart in setting up her own little humble salon to be named "DERMAfeel".

When wifey told me of her decision and the blood sucking rental, the selfish side of me was tormenting "Oh! Fxxking No!" ... but deep inside "I've already given her the silent approval" after she told me she just needed my moral support and nothing else!

Found myself behaving childishly when I told her to handle herself since she had already made the decision on her own.

Not sure why I found myself snooping around the shop's corner checking her out late that night ... my heart sank ... seeing her with six huge full black thrash bags cleared from the shop ... all alone by herself ... felt like the biggest ass hole! and
I've made up my mind ... "just try your best and leave the rest to me!"

The moral of the story ... Guys, never take a peep at your wife while she is clearing her own mess ... cos it will most definitely end up to be yours!

Taking Over with old frontage

The Selected Front Poster

ColdCalling and eating humble pie ... will be the hardest!

Our ever optimistic Tasha cheering "Go! ... Mommy .. Go! We Luv you no matter what!"

Thank you all for supporting the poll!

Thx! Fia, ... wifey's salon is at Unit# 03-16
Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade

It's just directly behind the white "Delphi" Orchard ...

At last! the make do signage was put up tis afternoon and as expected it's
small & short; probably will be in the wish list for replacement.
As for the main front poster, it was misprinted with wrong orientation ... what a joke!

... from wifey's friend with well wishes!

The first two salon's residence.

Nope! There's no such luxury ... and lastly, Fia ... Thank you for showing us this wonderful tall & sleak fridge!
