Would you wanna move in if it is so?? With the construction of other blocks going on. Even if you were to start renovation first, it will be a real mess....so i rather hope that the 7 blocks are built up together. 4 year then 4 years loh. anyway already expect that the flat will be ready in 2010...any date earlier will only be a bonus.

we can start renovation earlier and move in anytime we like mah.. better early than late rite? Smile

then when you are done with renovating. the other block resident just got their keys, now than they start to do the renovation. Mi sure you dun wanna move in as yet. not forgetting the dust from the renovation too that will settle in your newly renovated house. Shocked Mad

So no no for me. prefer to build up all blocks in 1 shot. then everyone can start the reno together except for 1 or 2. but that one we cannot help. Just my 2 cents POV. Very Happy

believe me, "except 1 or 2" will never happen..

actually we only need to monitor the units on the same floor as us and above. they have the most impact on noise... the rest.. hmm

I was involved in tendering for this project. The schedule for completion was estimated 4 years; it cannot be completed in 2 years based on its size, design and contract value. The duration of normal HDB projects was about 2 - 3 year as a norm. So this mega project will certainly take more time than its norm. Unless HDB decided to hand over and TOP in phases, then quite likely certain blks like F & G can be handed over earlier.

Does that mean I will be getting the keys earlier?

- Resident of 1G

maybe yes, so you can start renovations earlier while other construction work is still going on..

Hopefully, for residents in blk F & G can get to move in first. But it all depends on HDB's decision on handing over the units to the tenants. During the construction, the contractor may push to finish this 2 blks first and handed it over to HDB.

but TBC by HDB..
