I paid only 10% now too
the new rule will probably push prices up since more [pple] can afford to pay the lower down payment. This 1 think is especially so for landed property owners with lease less than 60 yrs old. their selling price can be higher than current. and more pple can afford to live in landed homes now since they can get to use their cpf to pay for it.
shldn't we like move this to the other topics? Come threadstarter, start in the other hdb developments.
On condo, I cannot afford condo anyway. So I would say the news would not affect me tt much _________________ http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images//Card_Fett.jpg

Hi moderator,
Please help to move this thread to the appropriate topic.
By the way Dexter, the 10% you paid was it due to the fact that you are below 30 years old and eiligible for staggered payment scheme or you are civil servant? Jus curious, I am on staggered payment scheme. Paying another 10% when flat is ready.
Thanks! |

| Jus check with HDB today. They mention that once we book a new flat from them, we are not allow to buy private properties unless we occupy the new flat 5 years and above. Is this true? Any guys here got different answer to this? |

yes tt part is true. We need to occupy the apt for 5 yrs b4 we can sell it or buy a private property.
*though (I stressed) u can buy actually but will have to dispose of the hdb apt immediately . tt's wat happened to my dad back in the late nighties, we had to either dispose of the hdb or the private property. my dad opted for the private property becos it wasn't even built yet. Not to mention, there was a loss lah. _________________ http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images//Card_Fett.jpg
