| My mum has the Mavello alkaline water system in our home when I was still living there. My dad, wife and I drank = no effect. But for her GERD (gastro reflux) condition it has quite an effect, it certainly helps. |

No need lah.... just a cheap Hyflux at $99 will do, add in replacement filter below $150 kao dim for 1 year. You don't drink no issue what - put one in the kitchen is enough.
Hyflux, dunno will be around or not in a couple of years....neither buy that stock nor monitor its stock price. |
I just got Hyflux for $102 + free one filters @ Suntec Carrefour Lv2
use your POSB everyday card + another 5% off. |

i guess it serves its effect in some ways.
my chronic eczema problem (since 1998) cleared (and no relapse) after i started drinking alkaline water when i moved in in Feb. mine is the Jupiter system from Kemp.
having spent countless amounts of $$ consulting specialists for a condition which has "no cure" and can only be controlled via steroids (not good for the body in the long term), this water system is really my saviour. _________________ Do The Right Things and Do The Things Right |

er, i never brought moisturisers with me anywhere. no use one.. hehe
actually i got to hear of Mavello in 2008 from my colleague who was using it. went to the website to check it out and found that it has a case study for eczema. http://www.kemptrading.com/info.asp?id=78
i got interested but because i was staying with my parents and they already had a water filter from some MLM company, i put off the purchase till i got pinnacle.
really, no regrets although i spent a bomb on it (mine's the undersink system) _________________ Do The Right Things and Do The Things Right |

Wow...that's good. Something must be "good" in P@D water + your KEMP water system.
Well could be due to the air also.... Whatever, as long as you're cured.
Its expensive, only coz its MLM. Like the air purifiers here from Coway, Amway......works but expensive like s***. |

Could be less stress at P@D too......after moving in. Also nearer to office. Now more privacy. More s@x with the new found privacy.
Eh don't hammer me, it could be true you know.... stress levels down, euphoric chemicals up.... Good life. I know whenever I go to Indonesia for long laid back life at in laws and go round visiting their relatives.....whole house air-con so body temp down which means more conducive, vigour was super...no need vigra.
Here in Singapore, forget it....cannot make it. Not joking dudes.... |

HAHAHAHA!!!! okie dxter, we'll keep to the topic.
Anyway, i'm going to get the hyflux filter to fix on my tap. Not so worried about bacteria since I'm boiling my drinking water. More worried abt all the sediments! I've been filling up my Tefal steam iron directly from tap, and the last time I used it, I started seeing white particles. Did one self-cleaning, and boy was the water brown! There were also pieces of dirt that came out from the iron. Our water reali cannot make it.
Ooh, just in case u guys think it's the iron's fault, I did one self-cleaning immediately after I bought the iron and I never spray starch on my clothes. |

hi weg! yours pinkish, mine disgusting brown. The bottle you see below is transparent in colour, but the yellow water is from the tap in the guest bathroom.
For guests who come over to our place, we also remind them to let the water run abit before using. [/img] |

wah that looks bad...
for me in the beginning i tried using the hyflux pitcher to filter tap water from pinnacle for drinking, but i realised that it was irritating my throat. In my old home i used to drink tap water filtered through Brita filter and it was ok for me. So.. either hyflux is lousier, or pinnacle water is dirtier, or both ;p |

Gave up on the guest room tap for now, since we hardly use it. The times we used it, the water is super brown, even worse than what you see in the pix. I'll try to take a pix of that. I've bought the hyflux filter to fix on the kitchen tap, and we boil our water before drinking. Like what 2100 said earlier, those filters mostly filter contaminants but not bacteria. can check out his earlier posts, he also mentioned about pinkish stuff. |

Yep, that's the cyanobacteria. Something like algae. The same smell as aquarium filters. I am very familiar with that smell.
Pink...and sometimes light brown. Depends on which kind of bacteria gets a foothold of the territory and flourish. |

seriously same issue here water will leave pink stain marks on the floor and sink. At first we thought because we are using some kind of "pink" handwash soap.. later even though we've stopped using that soap.. the pink stain still comes.. can we mention this issue to PUB? |
