Yeah, agree they shd open 50 SB upto midnight at least.
Not sure if 31 Dec resident can stay till midnight to see firework perhaps 
I think of 1 problem normally by 9.45pm, the security will walk around and tell ppl about time to exit SB, if they open till midnight/24h for resident, they can't really know which one is resident or visitor.
Unless they set by 10pm 50 SB must be cleared.
then by 10.30pm, resident can enter again.

Not just for 31th, should be every day 24/7 365 days of the year! 
10pm is just too early at times.. How bout a fri nite to enjoy the nite breeze, I'll be missing it.

It will cost them more as uncles (Security guards) need to take taxi home at that time...  |

HMN...they can actually identify resident by requesting to show resident access card.They can programe the entry for resident tab to extend beyond 10pm, those buying tickets using EZ link cannot gain access by tapping of the visitor tab. |

As understand after 10pm, the door will lock automatically.
Any one ever stay beyong 10pm? What will happen after that?
Must camp at 50SB till 6am?

From the last understanding, there will be a security guard to ensure that there are no more people loitering at the 50th SB after 10pm.

me think it is awesome news too although i probably won't be around but will 12.15am closure be too soon? Assuming fireworks end after 5minutes or so with hundredths of residents wishing each other which left about minutes to evacuate the place "safely"? |

| Yup I agree too, Orion. The marina bay singapore countdown fireworks last 8 mins, which leaves them only 7 mins to clear the roof... |

If possible in the future the opening time for resident can be extend beyond 10pm? or if not possible for everyday, may just during weekend or public holiday eve?

Was up at the sky bridge and watching the fireworks there,it is sure fun and enjoyable....running to Mt Faber and then back to CBD direction carrying my daughter. The crowd also play a part by shouting "wow" enticing everyone to change direction. It was funny and a very memorable New Year eve for us...me and wifey was laughing... but we are kiasu since sensing daughter is about to feel sleepy...we left before the grand finale of fireworks to avoid the crowd when exiting the gate and the agony of squezzing in the lift... |

There was a long queue for Blk E but there's not a single soul exiting Blk F gantry. I actually was quite suprised by it that nite.

My guess is correct.. Lifts at the extreme ends of the SB will not be so crowded.. good chance to down F or G then take lift back up.. should be faster then queuing in to go down..
