Hi to everyone! My name is Matt and I am fairly new to Southern style BBQ, I took Rob's cooking class 2 years ago in Saskatoon and have been smoking on Weber Smoky Mountain cookers for the last year. I am now hooked on BBQ and try to cook whenever I get a chance. I am entering my very first competition this summer which is the Toontown Smokedown in Saskatoon. I have alot to learn but I figured I w...

I have not spent much time here for a long while. After seeing a few Wisconsin builds I thought I need to get active again. For those not familiar I used to be here often and have built 4 Clones. I am a comp cook with 8 KCBS GCs on these clones. Any one wanting to look at the cookers and ask questions at the Wi comps please come out on Fridays and we can talk cookers. Saturdays get tough .I will b...

Hello All,

I just joined after enjoying a few threads over the last several days. My name is Don and I live with my wife and two kids in Glen Allen, Virginia. I have really enjoyed reading up on some of the good looking smoker builds on here. I'll definitely be asking plenty of questions. Smile

Hope to make plenty of new friends here.

All my best,

Don

Hello, I live in Racine Wisconsin.
I started smoking last year on a weber kettle. I was hooked after my first rack of baby backs. I pretty much smoke every weekend weather permitting.
After doing a lot of research, I decided to upgrade to a gravity feed smoker. To my surprise the smoker I wanted to order (stumps baby xl) has at least a 12 week wait time. I have all the equiptment to make a sm...

Hello

Just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for a great forum.
My desire to learn cooking started in my teenage years but my BBQ addiction only started 3 years ago.

I started with a vertical propane smoker and bought an older New Braunfels offset last year. I took it straight to the shop and tore into it. Modified it to a reverse flow with new rack, stack, wheels, etc. etc.
M...

hey there folks, I'm not only new to this site but new to the smoking world. I just purchased my first smoker and am itching to try it out. I bought a Horizon 16" Ranger offset. I've been searching websites, recipe's, forums etc and I came across this one. looking forward to getting tips and hopefully sharing pictures and recipe's.

Cheers,

Sharpstick
