Thanks Guys, for the Help and I had it backwards my measurements are for the cook chamber to be 40 tall x 32 wide and 24 deep so I can put 2 pans side by side. So I will use a 3 x 5 transfer tube. Thanks again for the Help!!!!!!!!!

I'd guess that a 3x5 id transfer tube would be fine. I'd maybe reverse the width and depth numbers if it was me. 32" wide and you can probably put 2 pans side by side. 32" deep is a long ways back there. Good luck whichever way you decide

I have been doing BBQ Competitions for 5yrs and Que for the last 20yrs. I'm from Peoria IL and been using modified Chargriller's that I installed bottom plates and made them into reverse flow's like the Lang smokers with Guru's. My plans are for the cook chamber to be 40" tall x 24" wide x 32 deep and using either a 3" x 5" transfer tube or a 4" x 6" transfer tube that would extend into the center of the Cook Chamber.

The size of the chute will not make as much a difference on the transfer tube size as the size of the cooking chamber. Tell us more about the size of cooker you are planning on building. While you are at it, tell us a bit more about yourself, how long you been bbq'g, what you been cooking on and where are you located.

Morning Guy's,
Want to say this site is awesome, the knowledge here is the best on the net. So with said I'm looking at doing a clone and have found that to build my Stumps Clone I wanted to use a 8 x 8 chute that I have to purchase but I have found a 6" x 10" chute for Free. Question is has anyone use a 6 x 10 chute with a 3 x 5 transfer tube or do I need to increase the tube to a 4 x 6??
