Greetings all BBQers. I've been a member a lil bit, but mostly reading and reading. Like many of you have done, I've been readin a year before I get goin! I have worked myself to death most of my life and only had a few weekends off here and there to do the Q. But fortune has smiled and I have been at it every weekend for about a year. I am from near Orlando. I have a rib smoker (holds 2 racks, 4 hr smoke), an upright Grillware that I converted to charcoal (for butts, chicken, and brisket), and a small trailer unit I am reworking. Favorite meats, in no order, that I like to smoke: ribs (4-5 hrs), brisket (12 hrs), butt (8 hrs), chicken (3 hrs), gator and mullet. MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS
1. start interacting on this here forum and not just lurkin, contribute.
2. stop jackin the jaw and finally enter a sanctioned Q contest
3. finish the trailer build project and share the pix.
4. finish my website
Thanks very much for all this wonderful information and the folks who put in the effort!

Welcome to the forum. I hope you keep your resolutions. We would love to hear more from you and see pic's of your projects. New year resolutions are easy to stick to if you want. The last one I made I have not deviated from one little bit. That was "to NOT make any more new year resolutions". So far so good. I am glad you have chosen our forum and look forward to hearing from you often.

Well, I have left 3 posts, gave some guidance to a builder, I drug out the trailer unit and started cutting on it, I signed up and paid for the next FBA sanctioned event, and I am signed up to go to judges school. Now, like my wife says, if I can just keep it up.

Hey jet, it was a twin stack, twin draw charcoal "grill" made from a propane tank on wheels I bought from a guy down the way. I intend to turn it into a horizontal draw reverse airflow smoker with a gravity feed chute. I got it cleaned up, re-tired, cut out the old grates, re-wired and lighted, and cut the template for the plate/water tray today.

What size is the tank ? After 5 post, you should be able to put some pictures up, I am really curious to see what your starting with.

Jet, it is just a plain propane tank 2 ft by 68 inches that was mounted on a trailer.
