While the full details and plans have yet to be confirmed, Saskatoon will host the Saskatchewan BBQ Championship on August 21/22, 2010. The venue has been confirmed, which will be the new Saskatoon Farmers Market at River Landing, the same venue used by last year's organizers. It's a great spot, centrally located with a great view of the River and all the amenities we need for a competition. There is a ton of activity in downtown Saskatoon that weekend which should help bring in some good crowds. (Last years crowds, even with cloudy skies and periodic light drizzle, were great) Several good sponsors have expressed their interest, enough that we can be confident we can pull off a great event.

This notification is just to inform BBQ teams of the event date. More information and a website will be announced in the coming weeks, any questions in the meantime can be directed to me via PM or phone (3065025360)

So what's it cost to get in as a sponsor?
It's probably too rich for our blood, but PM with some details, it would be great to involve Droolin' Devil in the festivities.
Of course I'll be there to watch, not sure about competing just yet.

We had a tonne of fun in Regina last year we couldn't make Saskatoon so we wouldn't miss it this year! If Regina ends up being PNWBA we'll come down for that one as well.

As of now, it looks like I will be making the S'toon trip. Might just as well blow 2 weeks in a row on BBQ Competitions. Can't make it to Huron in June, so if I want to do 2 comp's, this is it.

I couldn't make S'toon either last year but my Buddy Shane and I are in for sure this year. However it sounds like I will be flying solo for the Regina comp.
