Did you get a chance to figure out how to upload pictures? I thought I saw your post somewhere trying to throw hammer on wall Wink

I was about to recomend you to catch hold of Christian495. Dont let him get away.

Well after a Herculean effort i did manage to figure out how to upload images. However the usage of img tags is all Greek and Latin for me!!

Hi Amit,

Image tags are very easy to use....

This is what image tags look like...

[IMG][/IMG]

Explanation:
[img] -- this is the start of the tag
[/img] -- this is the closing of the tag

First of all, you need to have an image link from a source..

Then, you place the image link BETWEEN the image tags without any spaces at all...

So if you want to place open an image on this site, just place it between the tags like this...

[img]yourimagelinkwillbeplacedhere[/img]

TIP: I dont use the image tag button cause that is a bit inconvenient to use.. it's more easier manually typing the opening and closing tags...

If you still dont get it... Very very simple.. since your the moderator of this forum.. just click on EDIT on any of my topics .... you will be able to see how I placed the links between the tags.. Smile

hey i tried it but i cannot post it.......after opening and closing tags i tired to perview it but nothing is coming only the text is coming no pic......the pics r on my pc so can u tell me how to do it plz....

let me tell how i did it...

I think u have to first upload the pics to a free upload site and then paste that link in the open and end image note, i m not very sure but as far as i know u cannot upload images that r on u r HDD, u need to get them uploaded somewhere first.

Christian had suggested following procedure for uploading pictures in vasai.com it will surely help you out.

FOR UPLOADING PICS
By the way, if you want to upload some pics of sites or places in Vasai. Please feel free to share it with us through the pictures forum. For uploading pics, upload them on Code:
www.imageshack.us

When you go to this site, you will find a browse button. Select your file and click on "host it" button.

After awhile the page will refresh giving you the link.

Provide that link here or place the link in between img tags. By placing it between img tags, the picture will automatically open over here.

To upload using the image tag, simply click on the tag button located above the text box. then place ur link and then click on the tag button again. REMEMBER NO SPACES BETWEEN THE TAGS AND THE LINK.

Below is what an image tag looks like

One thing to remember is, once the image tag is inserted make sure to uncheck the "DISABLE BBCode in this post" check box. otherwise it will be treated as just text, not image tab. That check box is just below the post text area.
