Is this normal for a dance school? I'm new at hip hop dancing (I've only been doing it since October) and I love it. The only problem is that every time we have a class we learn a whole bunch of different dances and we only know part of our recital dance. Our recital is in six months and half of the moves our dance teacher it teaching us I can't do because I have problems with my back. If we don't get the dance down flat in one class our teacher gets fustrated. I want to know, is this normal for a dance school to do and should I quit and go to a different school?

Personally I don't know if this is normal for a dance teacher to be frustrated like this as I have not attended any dance class myself.
Looking at the situation, u need to decide what is right for u. U have mentioned that u have a back problem, is ur dance teacher aware of this, how severe is it, r u jeopardizing the injury to a greater extend by continuing to dance.
You need to consider serveral such things & then decide for urself if it's worth to risk ur injury & continue dancing.
But personally I don't think this is normal
Cheers
