Hello

I presume if you're reading this message you are probably a resident of Vasai or interested in the area for some reason.

Well, I would like to know of any news or developments regarding the 3rd and 4th railway track for suburban trains to Vasai. I do know the work is in progress but when is the likely time for completion?

The completion of this work would greatly help residents at Vasai any beyond. Could any one shed light on this?

I do agree that quadrapling of tracks through Virar would help immensely for all commuters. Unfortunately, like all other projects, no one can tell when is the exact time for completion. If anyone out here knows something, please share.

The main obstacle in proceeding with the work was the slums along the lines between Borivli and Dahisar. Now it has been demolished, laying of tracks should start soon. But there are still some obstacles remain as shortage of raw materials and staff.
It should be operational by July 06. This is just a guestimate considering the pace with which the work progressing and the time required to rehabilitate the occupants of slums etc. And there are some legal hurdles too.

We are now in May month and my estimate is somewhere in late 2007 at the earliest but my mid-april 2008, it will be complete. Thanks.
