Presenting...the one stop for your information needs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules:
1. No flaming.
2. Do not use putting-down terms when referring to other users; if there is a problem, contact an administrator or moderator.
3. Don't swear. Words like crap are ok, but do not go into more obscene ones.
4. Keep to the topic. There's a reason for all the different forums and topics.
5. Please don't back-seat mod. This means to say things like "Stop being off-topic!" and things like that when you're not a mod or admin. If you have a problem, contact them.
6. Don't spam. If you want to spam, go to the spam forum.
7. If you are going to put a spoiler, change it to a color that is invisible or at least blends in. Like this: spoiler
Code:
[color=white]spoiler[/color]

8. Don't double post, or anything beyond that. Edit your previous posts if you want to add something. Only double post when it's absolutely necessary. Normally, triple posts will be dealt with, but multiple posting will only be allowed when bumping becomes necessary.
9. You can use first names, but no last names. And it would be preferable if you used first names usually only in a directed conversation only.
10. If you get your avatar or signature from someone else, you must credit them in your sig.
11. Have fun. Not really a rule, but I sure hope that you do.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The FAQ
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
General Things:
Q. What's the point of a forum?
A. It is a message board for people to communicate about something.

Q. How do I register?
A. Go to register and fill out the required forms.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forum Related:
Q. How do I post?
A. Go to the bottom and click post reply. Then, in the box, type your message. You can also add emoticons by choosing one from the left, and there are many more available by clicking "view more emoticons". You can also modify text by choosing from the buttons available at the top.

Q. Why can't I post? I've registered.
A. After you register, you aren't automatically logged in. You must then enter your username and password and truly log in.

Q. What are rupees and points, how do I get them, and what do they do?
A. They are part of the currency system at this forum. You earn rupees by posting topics and replies. You get 5 rupees automatically if you make a new topic, and then you will get 0.02 rupees per character that you use in your post. You can exchange 10 rupees for one point. To exchange, you can either go to the memberlist and click on your name, or click on your profile link in one of your posts. Then, press exchange to get to the exchange screen. With points, you can buy items and privileges from the shop at the top of the screen. You can get points in many ways: exchange, contest rewards, job earnings, lottery, bank interest.

Q. How does the bank work?
A. In the bank, you can store your points. Every week, the amount of money you have in the bank gets 2.5% interest, meaning you will have 102.5% of your previous amount. This is an easy way to get more points. However, there is a withdraw fee of 2.5%. Therefore, everytime you want to withdraw points, you can only withdraw up to 97.5% of your balance.

Q. How does the lottery work?
A. At the lottery, you can buy tickets for a certain price in exchange for a chance at the prize. The ticket price at the current moment is 2 points. The prize is equal to 10+(2*the number of entries). So, if there are 5 total entries, the prize is equal to 10+(2*5)=20 points.

Q. What are jobs and what do they do?
A. Jobs are, well jobs. You can employ yourself in a job to earn points. After a certain amount of time that passes (it is unique to each job), you will get paid points. However, you must actually do the job. The admins will just take off the reward amount from your point total if it is found that you did not. If you wish to unemploy yourself from your job, you may click the job name again. Administrators are discouraged from taking a job, for various reasons.

Q. What's the calendar?
A. It is where forum events are listed. It would likely be beneficial for you to check the calendar every so often.

Q. What are those pictures that members have below their name, and how do I get one?
A. Those pictures are called avatars. To get your own avatar, you must first buy the avatar privilege at the Effects and Modifications shop in the shop for 1 point. Then, go to your profile and scroll down to the bottom. You will see the avatar control panel. From there, you can upload your own avatar picture from your computer, an url, or from the avatar gallery. The avatar size limits are 100 pixels high, 100 pixels wide, and 49 kb file size limit. If you need an avatar and/or can't make it yourself, you may ask a fellow member in the sig and avatar forum to make you one. When you request one, have a picture available, so that the maker does not need to search the web for one. Also, have any details available. Be polite in your request, because the members of the forum do not necessarily have to accept your request.

Q. What are the words and/or picture below the posts, and how do I get my own?
A. The words and/or pictures below a user's post are part of that user's signature (sig). If you wish to have your own, first buy the signature privilege at the Effects and Modifications shop in the shop for 1 point. Then, go to your profile and scroll down to profile information and then signature. In the white box, you might type words or provide links to pictures. Note the 5000 character limit. That means that all the characters (letters, numbers, icons, even spaces) must total or be under 5000. The pictures you see in sigs that have a picture and sometimes the user's name are personalized sig pictures, and they must be created. The sigs should be within 200 pixels high and 600 pixels wide. You may have as many sig pics, userbars, etc. in your sig, as long as the total combined pic dimensions are within the limits. Userbars are thin bars that are usually colored, have text, and maybe a picture. You can make your own sig pictures or userbars, or you can request one in the sig and avatar forum. When requesting a sig, have an image available and as many details as you can provide. You then wait until a member accepts and completes your request. You can't go and blame the maker for something you don't like in the sig if you didn't address it in your request. When the member completes the sig, he/she will post the completed sig and perhaps the url link. If the member does not provide it, right click the image and click on properties. Note the location of the image. Copy that and then go to your profile. In your sig box, enter in [img](the image url)[/img]. That will allow the pic to be shown in your sig. For userbar, use the same procedure for requesting and putting in your signature. Remember, the request is only a request. Members do not always have to accept it.

Q. What are those titles, and how do I get one?
A. The titles are either representative of their post total, or a custom one that the user created. To get a title, go to the shop and buy the title privilege for 1 point. You will then be able to get a title based on the number of posts you have made. If you have enough points and wish to, you may buy a custom title privilege in the shop for 100 points. You can also buy colors, glows, and shadows for your title (both default and custom) for 10 points each.

Q. What are those moderators and administrators, and what does their status mean?
A. Administrators and moderators are the people who watch over the forum and make most of the changes. They are the top ranking members, and if you have a problem or question, you may contact them for help. Administrators are the people who have complete power over the forum. They can change and modify everything. Moderators are the next highest rank. They can edit all posts, delete posts, make stickies and announcements, split threads, and move posts in the area that they govern.

Q. What are the rank titles that you can get?
A.
You can also set your own custom titles in the shop. Note: All custom titles will override the default titles.

Q. What do the items in the shop do?
A. The items in the shop are mostly for collecting. You may buy and sell them. However, it is possible that they will be used for roleplaying.

Q. What is the Member of the Month?
A. Refer to the Member of the Month global announcement thread.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have any questions that are not answered by this FAQ, please post them in a new topic.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For username changes, you may do so by pming me and telling me what you want to change it to. This way, you don't have to pay a lot, but I can prevent people from flat-out abusing the privilege.

And in case you were wondering, HTML is enabled.

Then just talk to a mod, like me for instance, and that mod/Admin will take care of it.

or, solve it yourself.

~Wii Master's guide to stop insults and other user related problems~
STEP 1

PM them telling them to cut it out.

STEP 2

Don't respond to their insults

STEP 3

Get the Management pissed off at them. (Just kidding, actually, just talk to someone in the Management to tell them to stop.)

STEP 4

If they don't stop, and the mods/Admins don't want to ban/punish them, hire a hitman. (Once again, a joke. At this point there's not much you can do, except request a ban. Note: this will almost never occur. You can't just say, hey Admin, ban so-and-so. You have to have a good reason.)

Its that simple, plus its free! *Like everything else on this forum*

Try it today!

If someone annoys you constantly, swearing at them is not the right solution. Try to work it out by yourself, and if you absolutely can't, contact a staff member.

He's right, follow the step by step guide. Or just skip to step 3 and tell Management.

Well, now that that's cleared up, can we get on with our pathetic lives, staring straight ahead, never looking up, if we step on someone elses back to get to the top, does it really matter? We're all just dust in the wind.....

Ah, I love being and optimist!

If you have nothing to say that will contribute to the purpose of the thread, don't post...especially in a thread as important as this.
